Camera responsibilities and a basic crew size

Examples of roles in a film/ TV crew:

• Make- up (and costume)
• Storyboard Artist
• Production Design

The four Camera Operator responsibilities:

1. Keeping the camera focused
2. Smooth movement
3. Making sure there is nothing in the shot that shouldn’t be there (i.e. Tripod leg)
4. Lens flare

Short film crew size: 5-6 people

1. Lighting, Camera operator (DOP)
2. Director, Producer, Writer
3. Editor, sound and footage
4. Sound recordist
5. Costume and make-up design
